essential information:

Hexafluoroisopropanol is a novel fluorinated compound that can be used to prepare various fluorinated chemicals such as surfactants, emulsifiers, pharmaceuticals, etc. HFPI is easy to mix with water and many organic solvents, has good thermal stability, good UV light transmittance, and can dissolve most polymers, such as polyester, polyamide, polyacrylonitrile, acetals, and hydrolyzed polyethylene esters. Therefore, HFIP is used as an ideal solvent for polymerization systems, high-level analytical reagents, cleaning agents in the semiconductor industry, and regenerating agents for polymer recycling. In recent years, its industrial use has mainly been as an important raw material for the inhalation anesthetic sevoflurane.

Fluorinated solvents can improve the efficiency of rhodium (I) - catalyzed [4+2] intramolecular cycloaddition reactions of ether bound alkyne dienes and [5+2] cycloaddition reactions of alkyne vinyl cyclopropane; Liquid phase peptide chemical solvent; Highly soluble solvents for peptides and peptide intermediates; Used for analysis of multiple polymers
Hexafluoroisopropanol (HFIP) is a novel fluorinated compound, a highly polar solvent that is easily mixed with water and many organic solvents. It has good thermal stability and good transmittance to ultraviolet light. These characteristics make HFIP an ideal solvent in many polymerization systems; HFIP is an intermediate used in medical medicine, which can synthesize inhaled anesthetic sevoflurane and is also an intermediate in the synthesis of agricultural chemicals; HFIP can be used as a solvent cleaner for electronics; HFIP can dissolve a large portion of polymers, such as polyester, polyamide, polyacrylonitrile, acetals, and hydrolyzed polyethylene esters. Due to its properties, it can be well applied in analysis and used as a regenerant for the reuse of polymers. As a typical representative of the follow-up products of hexafluoroisopropanol, sevoflurane is the most advanced inhalation anesthetic. Due to its advantages of no residue, fast induction and awakening, and strong controllability of anesthesia depth, it can be said to be the most ideal inhalation anesthetic with very good economic and market prospects.
The application process of hexafluoroisopropanol as a plastic recycling agent is to utilize the strong solubility of hexafluoroisopropanol to dissolve plastic mixed with pollutants and other metal ions, and then separate the liquid and extract the solvent to obtain the purest plastic. Moreover, due to the low boiling point of hexafluoroisopropanol (58 ℃), the energy consumption of the extraction solvent is also sufficiently low. Moreover, hexafluoroisopropanol can dissolve a wide range of plastics and can be widely used in various plastic recycling applications.
HFIP is a highly polar solvent with high density, low viscosity, and relatively low surface tension. It is easy to mix with water and many organic solvents, has good thermal stability, and has good transmittance to ultraviolet light. It can transmit ultraviolet light with a wavelength less than 2000A and a low refractive index. These characteristics make HFIP an ideal solvent in many polymerization systems.
